Snow Day

I love Michigan winters, watching the snow come down, watching the kids run around and build snowmen. Of course my favorite thing is being inside watching the snow fall while I stamp :) Today is one of those snowy days.

Framelits Dies

 I am so excited by all the new products in the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog that it is really hard to pick a favorite! But I have to say that the new Framelits (& Edgelits) are at the top of that list.

I love being able to create not only the one image (Label or Heart) but also being able to shadow them together to get a whole new look for our cards.

Here are two different cards made with the same two Heart Framelits dies. The top I did traditionally where I cut both pieces with the framelits dies. The second I did a little different. Instead of cutting the larger heart onto my card I fliped the framelit die over and used it to emboss the heart onto my card. Easy right!  To make things even better I have added a video that shows how I made both cards (in one video!)

Today's Card

I am starting to work on Valentine's card & projects for future videos. (In addition to putting the finishing touches on my craft room.)

Today's card uses:

•  P.S. I Love You stamp set (Occasions Mini)

• Scallop Trim Border punch
• Fancy Fan letter press plate
• Pretty in Pink Scallop Dots Ribbon
• Natural Ivory, Regal Rose & Whisper White card stock 
• Regal Rose &  Melon Mambo ink. 

Update on the craft room, I have my punch and ribbon wall complete. Now I am working on finding a good table to go in my room for a main class table. Of course those that have had classes with me know that I was using a folding 6ft table for a dining room table! (ask how the Idea Book & Catalog saved my life! jk) The kids are now happy that my original craft room table find is now a dining room table. So I am still out searching....

Card of the Day

One of my goals for 2012 is to have at least two blog postings a week, if not more. And to post at least one video to You Tube a week. 

What are some of your goals for 2012?

Looking back on my first year with Stampin' Up! I am so glad that I joined such a wonderful group, I just wish that I had heard about it being a demonstrator years ago! I can't believe that I went 8 years & 3 demonstrators before hearing about becoming one myself.
