December Club Members Projects

A huge THANK YOU!!! to all my club members these last couple of months during my move. Who knew that moving one point one miles would be so hard. We still aren't even fully done after two months of moving so far. But we do have all the important things like the main living areas, all the kids stuff and most importantly all my stamping stuff.

It is great being inside instead of out in my garage studio but now I have more 2 year old help than I can handle sometimes so I am sure that Ben will be appearing in my videos soon.

Halloween Pencil Holder

Today's video feature's a 3-D Halloween Project.
This simple and easy project is great for goodie bags, class favors or to give to your favorite Trick or Treat'er!

The supplies used to make this project are:

• 3 5/8" x 5 3/8" Cardstock (rich razzleberry used here)
• 2" x 3 5/8" Cardstock (basic black used here)
• Scallop Trim Border Punch
• 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (used with Pumpkin Pie)
• 1 3/8" Circle Punch (basic black used here)
• 1 1/4" Circle Punch (old olive used here)
• 1" Circle Punch (Whisper White with image used here)

• Basic Black & Lucky Limeade stampin' write markers

Stitched Stocking

Today's card is made using the new Stitched Stocking stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
To make the background with the DSP (Letters to Santa used here) I took a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of dsp and cut from the bottom right 1 1/2" in to the top right corner. Flip the paper over and cut going from the opposite corner. For the edge pieces place the part that was cut down and line the original corner in the track and cut the small part off. Repeat for the other side. The three pieces will then make a rectangle.

Homework :)

I love it when I am able to bring my create ideas and work with my children on them.
Even better, when it is a home work project.

My oldest & 3rd grader had to decorate a composition notebook for homework the other night and it was great. He got to pick out the stamps sets that we used, he used the paper cutter, snail and the stampin write markers.

Here he is with his final product:

We used the Travel Log & All in the Family stamp sets.

Back to School Card

With my kids going back to school in just under 2 weeks I wanted them to have something to give to their teachers on the first day back.

I made this simple card with the Recess Stamp Set & Bold Blossom Stamp Set.

Matchbox Candy Holder

Today's project is a matchbox candy holder that I made with my daughter. She also likes the videos that I have been making so I let her help me make on too.

Here she is working on her finish project.

It is really hard to photograph the matchbox but this is what we ended up with as the best photo.

I will add something to it later this week & post a new photo with some stamped images on it. It is just really hard to have her do the stamping by herself right now (she is only 5, it's either too hard or too soft)

Build a Bird Card & Video

Here is today card:

This simple card is made with the Bird Builder punch and a cutting technique for the DSP background just to give it something new.

The supplies & measurements for this card are:

• Natural Ivory cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Scored at 4 1/4".
• Pool Party CS at 3 1/2" x 2".
• 2 Pieces of DSP cut to 3 1/4" x 1 3/4". The first piece is cut once on an angle. The second piece is cut twice on an angle (both directions, pieces do need to be lined up) (Beyond the Garden used here #122342)
• Tempting Turquoise CS scrap for the Bird Builder punch.

Directions to make this card:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Old Olive (or any coordinating) card stock - scored at 4 1/4"

5 1/2" x 2 1/2" DSP & 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" DSP both with edges inked in Chocolate Chip

Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon

Natural White & Bashful Blue CS with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.

Stamp scallop image on Natural white twice & once on Bashful Blue.

Punch out with 1 3/4" scallop circle & 1" circle of Natural White & 1 3/8" circle of Bashful Blue.

Pin Wheel Birthday!!!

This card is made with the retiring Celebrations DSP & the new hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes.

To create the pin wheel you use a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of DSP. Line the opposite corners up in the track of your paper cutter and cut down at an angle 1 1/2" on all four corners. With the paper piercing tool poke a hole in the end edge of one of the flaps on all corners (same flap on each corner, ie left or right side). Fold & line holes up and place a brad in the center. (this is the tricky part and takes some time)

Details for creating this card:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Natural Ivory CS - scored at 4 1/4"

4 1/4" 1 1/2" DSP & 4 1/4" x 1" DSP & 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" DSP

Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch of extra DSP (for pinwheel pole)

Never-Ending Card Video

Here are the templates to create the card:

2 pieces of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card stock. Score on the solid lines than cut on the dotted lines.

Father's Day Shirt Cards

With Father's Day right around the corner here is a quick and easy card idea perfect for any dad.

Supplies:

• Stamps: Best Dad Ever - Wood #120399 Clear #120681
• Card Stock: Naturals White, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzaz, Cherry Cobbler, Bashful Blue.
• Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip & Brights Stampin' Write Markers.
• Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL & Anywhere Glue Stick.

To create the shirt 1 piece of card stock measuring 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" cut 5/8" down from the top & 5/8" in from both sides. Trim 1/4" off the sides below the 5/8" cuts. (should look like a T) Fold both the long top flaps in at an angle and adhere with 1/2 a dimensional on either flap. 2 pieces of 5/8" x 1"attached to the under side of the shirt. Add the cut out tie from the stamp set.

June 2011 Give Away

Progressive Scrapbook Pages

Here is a scrapbook layout called progressive scrapbook pages. You start with a 6 x 6 scrapbook page and build it up to either a 8 1/2 x 11 or a 12 x 12 layout.

Here is the 6x6 layout:
The 6 x 6 layout is added to a 8 1/2 & 11 layout:
The 6 x 6 & 8 1/2 x 11 layout is added to the 12 x 12 layout:
You can then add any embellishments or journaling as you wish.

Stamp of the Month Class - May

For this month's Stamp of the Month class the stamp set we used was Flower Feast from the Summer Mini catalog. The bonus this month was that there were 6 different designs so no card was doubled. Here are all 6 cards that were made in one 2 hour class.
