Birthday Whale

I think this my be my favorite card of the week! It isn't because it's fancy or because it uses my favorite ribbon or embellishments......this card defines one of my reason for stamping.......spending time with my family. This card was made with the help of my three year old Ben!
His favorite stamp set right now is the Oh, Whale! (He used it for his valentine's too)
We kept the card simple (being three he still has an attention span that lasts for about 5-10 minutes)
He loves the big shot so of course we used it to cut out the whale image with the Happy Whale clearlits sizzix die and also the Large Scallop Edgelits die to make the waves as well.
Here is the list of supplies that we used to make this card:
Natural White & Pool Party cardstock
Midnight Mist ink
Oh, Whale! and Wishes Your Way stamp sets
Happy Whale Clearlits & Large Scallop Edgelits
Modern Label Punch

Butterfly-Birthday

We got to enjoy a wonderful Snow Day yesterday, started with snow and ended with rain! Then today was in the 50's!!! I don't think my poor kids will get to go sledding this year at all. But we all enjoyed a mental and physical health day.

It was really nice to have a couple hours break though when all three kiddo's went to school day :)

Today's project is a card with the new Bitty Butterfly punch.
Today's card uses:
Natural Ivory, Wisteria Wonder, Regal Rose, Primrose Petals Card Stock and Lucky Limeade DSP.
Primrose Petals ink
A Fitting Occasion and Wacky Wishes (Hostess) Stamp Sets
1 1/4" Scallop, 1" Circle & Bitty Butterfly punches
Rhinestones

Valentine Treat Number 3

This Valentine Treat was my favorite of the three. Mostly because my three year old helped to make and design it. He was just in love with the whale and so proud he had to show everyone in the house. He was the one who made the candy selection of Air Heads, which the other two said yes to as well.

Here is the list of supplies that I used on this project:
The help of a very excited three year old....
Bigz Top Note Die
Sizzix Clearlits Happy Whale Die
Bashful Blue and Natural White cardstock
Oh, Whale! stamp set
Midnight Muse and Pacific Point ink
Modern Label Punch
Midnight Muse Satin Stitched Ribbon

I again used glue dots to hold the airhead in place and also to close the top of the top note die before I tied the ribbon on it.

I hope that you enjoyed my Valentine's Day Treat Trio.   Also be sure to sign up for my new email newsletter for special bonus projects & videos!!

Today's project is the Valentine Treat for my daughter's class. Of course I had help in the design and putting together of this one. (She also was the one to help with design her older brothers too)

Valentine Treat Number 1

With the three kids everything is done in course in three's. But of course they also have to each be different. So today we started on the design of the ever popular (third favorite holiday) Valentine's Day class treat. With having to make 24 for each kid I have to design these things early. But now I have something to work on while I watch American Idol (my one reality show addiction)

There is the Valentine for my oldest (my ten year old boy), we will change the colors when we go to make his though. (It originally started out life as my daughter's valentine)

Here is the list of supplies that I used:
Bigz Two Tag Die (2 of these)
Wisteria Wonder, Melon Mambo and Natural White card stocks.
Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon
Melon Mambo, Regal Rose and Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink pads.
Mixed Medley and Oh, Whale! stamp sets.
1 3/8" circle, 3/4" circle, 1 3/4" scallop circle and 1 1/4" scallop circle punches.

For the piece that connects the two Tag pieces together I used a 6 1/2" x 1 1/2" piece of Wisteria Wonder card stock and scored it at 1/2" on both sides of the long side & at 2 1/2" on both sided of the short sides.

I hope that you enjoyed today's project. Tomorrow I will show you the next in my Valentine's Day Treat Trio.   Also be sure to sign up for my new email newsletter for special bonus projects & videos!! (Yes I got the video camera back out of hiding!)

Oh, Hello

Finally getting a chance to post today.....I little late but it's still Wednesday so it counts :)
(Wednesday's are our crazy days here at my house, I teach a parent-tot class, the younger two kids have dance then Awana at our church and the oldest has cub scouts every other week...Crazy day)

That gave me a chance to surf the web (thank goodness for 3G) and I found a card I just fell in love with. So I took the idea and made it my own. I love the Oh, Hello set and I may have to use it for February's Stamp of the Month set, I still haven't decided on my stamp set yet. If you have a suggestion send me a email or leave a comment here.

This card again uses the Oh, Hello stamp set along with:
Framelits Ovals, Needlepoint Border & Honeycomb Embossing Folders, Occasions Paper Piercing Pack, Comfort Cafe DSP, Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake and Pool Party card stock. Chocolate Chip and pool party ink along with Wisteria Wonder, Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write martkers and the ribbon from Sale-a-Bration Sycamre Street in Pool Party.

I hope you enjoy this card and I hope your Wednesday was smoother than mine :)

Dude, Your Welcome!

Stampin' Up! is announcing another new and exciting product that just came out. Dude kits! Stamp kits with the guys in mind, I sure some of us ladies would use these stamps too.
I know that my husband has braved my personal crafty space before and lived to tell about it (I have no problem with sharing, I think he is just a bit over-whelmed by all that is there). But now he can have his own personal kit that I'm sure will just be the starting point for his own craft space. (I'm sure I have a square in my grid wall that he can have, since the kids each have their own he can too!)
If you have any questions about any of the new and exciting products or promotions going on just let me know - jentandrews@gmail.com

Tomorrow I will have information about product shares with the new Spring Catalog!
